Everday usability 19 mobile phone video orientation

During a team building event a colleague of mine made some videos. After transferring them on the computer we recognised that some of them where standing headlong. Search in the internet reveals such helpful advises like just hold the handy in the right position. Video format is panoramic screen size, so what is the right position? (see figure below)

Mobile phone orientation, which one is correct?

Contributing to the confusion the mobile phones internal algorithm notices the position of the mobile phone correctly and displays the video correctly to the user. Who would imagine a change in the video orientation when the video is simply transferred to the computer?
