Everyday Usability 33: Walking distance – airport guidance systems

This is perhaps not new and may some of you already recognised it and took advantage of it. Nevertheless I found this sign of the airport guidance system in Munich a nice idea and took a photo. I saw it immediatly when I came from the small runway between plane and airport when I needed to switch from one plane into another. So it is a nice design and a good position.

If I remember correctly I saw similar information about walking distances in Frankfurt, but there it was integrate in the information screens that list all flights with departure time, gate, and so on.
